· Good morning everyone, and Happy Friday, LOL. So, I am using a text message app called "Messages" as the Verizon text message app wasn't working properly. This "Messages" app was recommended by my IT people and I see a lot of BB Priv users have been using it. Anyway, from day one, it was working and doing what the Verizon text message app wasn't doing, so I was happy. · How to get MMS messages to download automatically: For the start, you must open up your text messaging app; Then, in the right hand corner, tap the three-dot menu button; Now, choose Settings. Finally, scroll down to auto-retrieve and make sure the box is checked; If you have Group Messaging checked, this gives you the possibility to send a MMS. Tap Scheduled Messages. Tap the Pencil icon. Tap the To field and enter a contact's name or number, and select a contact from the results. Tap OK. Enter your message in the Type a message field. Tap the Schedule icon (i.e., clock). Select a date and time to send the message. Tap Schedule. Tap OK. You've successfully scheduled a message.
Open the Messages app. Tap More options Settings Advanced. Send a message or a file separately to each person in a conversation: Tap Group messaging Send an SMS reply to all recipients and get individual replies (mass text). Automatically download files in messages: Turn on Auto-download MMS. 2. Make sure you can find your phone. To maximize your chances of recovering a missing device, make sure to activate Android's built-in tracking system. Open Settings, go to Security and tap. 1. Open the Earthmate Android app. 2. From the home page tap Map. 3. Tap the Map Library button. Note: If this the first time you have chosen to download maps, the World Reference Data Download message will appear. Tap Download. 4. On the Map Library Download screen tap Next. 5. Pan and zoom the map to the region you want to download maps for.
If my "cellular data" is on and I am connected, using gigabytes, etc. -- then the picture and text message shows up. No problem. It's automatic. However, if my "cellular data" is off, and I am only connected via wi-fi -- I open the text message and there is a small symbol with a message below it that says "Tap to download". I get a message from that person to download the message, and I cannot ever retrieve the message, unless I go back to the stock app. This normally would sound like a 3rd party app issue, since its google messenger, however if I take my phone and put it on Tmobile network, same folks in a group message, same google messenger app, I can receive. Now you can find more of the content shared in your conversations: tap on the search icon and select a specific contact to see your messaging history with them and all the photos, videos, addresses or links you shared with each other.
